Jumping in puddles

It doesn't matter how old you are, there's something wonderful about jumping in puddles. When you're a child, it's the thrill of making a big splash and grown-up remembering the thrill - no matter how small.
Now, this is not to say I jump in every puddle I see. There's a time and a place, which is usually not walking to the post office or in the car park at Sainsbury's. But out in sodden fields and pot-holed country tracks, it's a must (at least every now and again).
One of the best things about being an adult is that you can choose to unleash your inner child every now and then. I'm not sure my seven-year-old self ever left me, which I'm actually rather pleased about because it means I have a tendency for good old-fashioned fun.
It's so easy to get swept along with all the things we should be doing, we forget to do the things we want to do. There's balance in everything and of course we all have responsibilities but if we can't sometimes shake off the seriousness of life, well, what's the point?

It's calling you isn't it?
