A long weekend getaway in Jersey

Most Easter weekends, my husband and I stay as far away from UK resorts and main roads as possible - opting for local walks or the odd bit of DIY instead. This year, we compromised by flying instead and just outside the UK.
We flew out to Jersey from Southampton on Good Friday - the airport is just down the road and the flight was a mere 45 mins... win. Although part of the British Isles and not the UK (as I discovered via Google the night before), the weather on Jersey over the weekend was all too familiar. Rainy and windy.
Never one to let the weather hinder an adventure, we made the most of being on this beautiful Anglo-French island with a walk along the beach and a meander through the streets near our hotel. Despite the grey skies and roaring wind, and despite having the worst cold I've ever had, Jersey was stunning. And the brisk, salty sea air didn't actually help my cold but I liked to think it did.
And the sun came out! Well, at least, for a couple of hours.
